Apply the cream while your hair is still properly wet. For short hair an amount about the size of a walnut is enough, for shoulder-length hair twice that. On long hair, work the cream in section by section, depending on how thick it is. Once you've worked the cream through the full length with your fingers or a comb, remove the excess water with a cotton T-shirt or a microfiber towel (no rubbing!) and carry on with scrunching – squeezing the hair from the ends up towards the roots.
