My hair is curly too… And that's where it all began.

My name is Carol Cardoso, and behind Curliculum is my personal story, my love for curly hair, and years of experience caring for it.

It all started in Slovakia, where I founded Kučeravé, an online store dedicated to curly hair. What began as a simple idea gradually grew into a brand that has helped thousands of people discover the beauty of their natural hair.

I believe that everyone deserves access to the right products, knowledge, and support for their curls, no matter where they live. That's why I decided to take our journey beyond Slovakia.

And that's how Curliculum was born.

A new brand, built on the same passion, experience, and mission: to show that curly hair isn't a problem to be fixed, but a natural beauty worth embracing and caring for.

My Curly Hair Journey

My relationship with my curls has been a journey of many years.

I have Angolan roots, and my hair never quite fit the conventional idea of what hair should look like. It wasn't straight, but it wasn't typical afro hair either. It was somewhere in between.

For a long time, I had no idea what to do with it. Instead of learning to understand its needs, I hid it, straightened it, and tried to make it fit other people's expectations of what "beautiful" hair should look like.

Today, I know that my hair was never the problem. I simply didn't know how to care for it properly.

The Turning Point

Everything changed during the pandemic when I finally put my straightener aside and decided to give my natural hair a chance.

I started learning about ingredients, different hair care techniques, and styling methods. Little by little, I discovered a whole world of curly hair care that I had known surprisingly little about.

I realised that the right products and techniques could transform not only the way our hair looks, but also the way we feel about ourselves.

That's when the idea was born: to create a place where people with wavy, curly, and coily hair could find everything they needed.

Not just products, but also knowledge, inspiration, and guidance to help them discover their own path to beautiful, healthy-looking hair.

From Kučeravé to Curliculum

In 2021, I founded Kučeravé.sk in Slovakia, combining my passion for curls with my background in digital marketing and e-commerce.

What started as a personal passion grew into one of Slovakia's established names in curly hair care. Over the years, we've helped thousands of customers, built a strong community, and developed deep expertise through product knowledge, education, and hands-on experience in our specialised curly hair salon in Bratislava.

Today, Kučeravé brings together carefully selected brands from around the world, years of practical experience, and a genuine understanding of curly hair.

Curliculum was born as a natural next step in our journey.

Our ambition is to bring the same expertise, carefully curated products, and trusted approach to curly-haired customers around the world.

We're not starting from scratch. We're bringing years of experience and proven know-how to new markets.
