My twisted story

I built my relationship with my curls over many years. As a mixed-race woman, I never had "typically Slovak" hair, but not purely afro hair either — which often left me somewhere in between. For a long time I hid it and mostly straightened it, instead of embracing my natural texture.

The spark for change

The turning point came during the pandemic, when I stopped using a flat iron every day. For the first time in years I let my hair grow naturally and started looking for ways to care for it without damaging it. I discovered that with the right products and techniques, hair can turn from a struggle into a joy.

That's exactly when the idea was born to create a place where curly hair gets exactly what it needs — from basic care to styling and accessories.

How did the Kučeravé store come to be?

As I started building the store and meeting more people, I realized this story is much bigger. A large share of people naturally have wavy or curly hair, they just hadn't realized it for a long time. They thought it was unruly and needed straightening, when in reality they just needed a different approach and the right care.

These experiences confirmed to me that Kučeravé makes sense. A personal story became a place that today helps thousands of people discover the beauty of their hair.

I combined my passion for curls with experience from the digital world and gradually built a brand that became a market leader. Today, Kučeravé brings carefully selected brands from around the world, proven by practice and customer experience.
